Typically, one of the first questions that we are asked when we bring up the topic of umbrella insurance is "Why do I need that?" The answer is fairly simple. Let's look at one example. Your neighbor's young daughter comes over to your house to play with your daughter and your dog bites your neighbor's daughter. You have homeowner's insurance but the limits on the liability coverage part of your policy are exhausted due to the cost of the medical treatment and plastic surgery that is required for your neighbor's daughter. This would be a perfect occasion to have an umbrella policy and for the coverage that you get, it's much more affordable than what most people think.
Nobody ever wants to think that they would be sued by their neighbor but the truth is, if there are substantial costs involved with making them whole due to an event that occured on your property, they may not have much of a choice if they can't or don't want to bear the cost on their own.

To get started now or later in the year:
2. Use our Renewal ReminderTM to enter a date later in the year that you’d like to be contacted to discuss your coverage needs. Aim for 30 days in advance of your current policy’s renewal date or before you would like new coverage to start. The advance date will allow us time to connect and discuss your needs, gather information for your file and obtain insurance quotes for you to consider.
